About Thomas W. Macom

​Thomas William Luke Macom is a New York-based photojournalist, designer, musician, artist, traveler, and sailor. He honed his craft in photography in New Orleans for seven years, and has recently found himself back in his native New York after a year of travel and work through Australia, France, and the United Kingdom. His work has been published in New Orleans CityBusiness, The North Shore Report, OffBeat Magazine, VA Lawyer’s Weekly, Inside Business, PDNedu Magazine, and the Williamsburg Courier (among others), and he has worked with Catholic Charities of New Orleans, the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and many other organizations.  He has shown at Louis Stern Fine Arts in Los Angeles, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York City, and at numerous venues in and around New Orleans. Always thoroughly immersing himself in his work, for the past two years Thomas has been working and documenting life aboard historic wooden tallships in New York and Maine.
